Realizing there was a separate lane for visitors who already had tickets, we quickly purchased tickets for the “Return Cable Car and Nature Reserve” online by phone (paying 37GBP each) and hopped over to the other line as soon as the tickets appeared on my phone.Ībout 30 minutes after we had first showed up, we hadn’t moved up in the line very much. I don’t know how slow the foot-travelers’ entry was, but I can’t imagine it was 2 hrs total, even including the extra walking time.Īfter parking, we arrived at the end of the queue to buy tickets for the cable car. It appeared that there was a lot you could park in on the Spain side and just walk in. The money opened the crisps and ate them! Later we saw a monkey snatch a muffin as soon as someone retrieved it from their bag. A man had a rucksack on his back and as soon as the man got off the cable car, the monkey jumped on his bag, opened it and got a bag of crisps. Monkeys are waiting at the top for the cable car. Despite being afraid of heights, I enjoyed the ride. After going through passport control, we found the Calypso mini bus on the left hand side of the road which took us to the Cable car. The ticket we purchased gave access to the Skywalk (a platform to get good views) which my friends said was good. There was a ticket for access to everything but we chose not to do this. 0nly 2 extra Euros to get a return ticket. Make sure you take your passport! We bought a ticket for a return journey on the cable car. ![]() We bought a cable car ticket from the Calypso ticket office before crossing the border into Gibraltar.
